NWB
non-weight bearing
No weight at all through the affected limb — the foot does not touch the floor. The most restrictive weight-bearing order.
How it gets tested
Distinguished from touch-down weight bearing, where the toes may rest on the floor for balance. An item that says "foot may rest on the floor but carry no weight" is describing TDWB, not NWB.
