TEAS 7 Reading practice test
Passages, main ideas, and following written directions.
Which statement is supported by the log alone?
What this section asks
Reading is the longest section by item count and it opens the exam. Almost nothing in it is nursing content — it is passages, charts, labels and instructions, and questions about what the text actually says versus what you assumed it said. The trap is speed: 45 items in 55 minutes is a little over a minute each, including the time it takes to read the passage.
Frequently asked
- How many questions are in the TEAS 7 Reading section?
- 45, of which 6 are unscored pretest items, in 55 minutes.
- Is there a passing score for the TEAS 7?
- No. ATI states that each school sets its own cut score, so the number that matters is the one your nursing program publishes.
- Is this the official TEAS 7?
- No. These are original practice questions written for study. The official exam is administered by ATI (Assessment Technologies Institute).
