intravenous piggyback
A small secondary bag connected to the main IV line and infused intermittently — the usual way intermittent IV antibiotics are given.
How it gets tested
The tell in a question is "secondary" or "intermittent". Hung higher than the primary bag is the setup detail most often asked.
