Gravida counts pregnancies, para counts births past twenty weeks. "G3 P2" is three pregnancies, two births. GTPAL is the expanded version.
How it gets tested
Tested as a counting item: given an obstetric history, write the G and P. Twins count once for para; a current pregnancy counts for gravida.
