BRAT

Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast

A traditional bland-diet mnemonic for recovering from stomach upset. Still recognised on exams as a term, though it is no longer generally recommended as a diet because it is low in protein and energy.

Examinable as a term; not a description of current dietary guidance. Treat it the way MONA and LMNOP are treated on this site.

How it gets tested

Appears as a recall item and, increasingly, as a "which teaching is outdated" item.
