Into the fatty layer below the skin and above the muscle. Written subQ or subcut; the older SC and SQ forms are discouraged because they have been misread.
How it gets tested
Appears in ordering items by absorption speed, and in "which abbreviation is preferred" items, where subcut or the spelled-out word beats SQ.
