Simple Triage And Rapid Treatment
A mass-casualty triage system that sorts people into four color categories by how quickly they need care, rather than by how badly injured they are.
What each letter stands for
- 1 Red — immediate.
- 2 Yellow — delayed.
- 3 Green — minor, often described as the walking wounded.
- 4 Black — expectant.
How it gets tested
The tested idea is counterintuitive and that is why it is tested: in a mass-casualty setting, triage sorts by survivability and urgency, not by severity alone.
