Simple Triage And Rapid Treatment

A mass-casualty triage system that sorts people into four color categories by how quickly they need care, rather than by how badly injured they are.

What each letter stands for

  1. 1 Red — immediate.
  2. 2 Yellow — delayed.
  3. 3 Green — minor, often described as the walking wounded.
  4. 4 Black — expectant.

How it gets tested

The tested idea is counterintuitive and that is why it is tested: in a mass-casualty setting, triage sorts by survivability and urgency, not by severity alone.
